Where the data comes from
Rates arrive two ways: anonymous submissions from clinicians, and figures collected from public discussions and press, each linked to its source. Between 2012 and 2023, private equity acquired 6.2% of US mental-health facilities (JAMA Psychiatry, 2024), and most large billing platforms are venture-funded companies whose terms change over time — the company pages track those changes as a dated, sourced news timeline. Rate data is thin in public; every submission makes the table more useful.
